Will Forte Leaves Saturday Night Live

... Will Forte is leaving Saturday Night Live after eight seasons on the sketch show that used to be funny. Forte is best known on the show as MacGruber, which should tell you all you need to know about the state of Saturday Night Live. Yeah, you got it. I don't like Saturday Night Live. [NY Times]

... NBC has postponed the reality show School Pride until October 15, three weeks after its previous start date of late September. The show follows struggling schools as they're given a makeover to repair cracked asphalt on the school yards, out-of-date school supplies, and radioactive Sloppy Joes. [THR]

... Guess who is reportedly joining Dancing With the Stars!? That total waste of space and actress-of-the-year Bristol Palin! Sarah Palin's spawn is the latest rumored contestant, and I think I speak for everyone when I tell her, "Break a leg. Preferably in four or five places." [E! Online]

... A few months ago, I told you about the upcoming reality show Party Down South, which follows Southern rednecks Jersey Shore style. You probably moaned and groaned when you first heard about it, but listen to this... it has a home. At Comedy Central. This could work. [The Live Feed]

... This is the slowest news day ever. Sorry. [Fun Diversion]

... Turns out all those singing competitions might be a whole load of hogwash. The X Factor Auto-Tune scandal has been confirmed, and now other names—including Susan Boyle—are being lumped into the mix. Not the Hairy Angel! Nooooooo! [Deadline Hollywood]

... The cast of Community will star in a series of ads for auto-maker Infiniti during the Emmys broadcast this weekend. Ummm, like I said. Slow news day. But at least Alison Brie will make the Emmys watchable. [THR]

Everyone who is defending Bristol Palin has obviously never seen her "deer-in-the-headlights acting" on the Secret Life of the American Teenager. It has nothing to do with who her mother is...kinda

Wishing a broken leg on a young mother makes you a despicable person. Why this site keeps you employed is beyond me.

She's dumb because she happened to get pregnant? Wow. The only reason why she was in the spot light is because her mom was in politics. I admire a person and family who practice what they preach, no matter what it is that they happen to be preaching. So unless you have personal first hand knowledge of how intelligent she is or isn't give it a rest and stop being some hateful about her. I can think of a lot worse people in hollywood like Charlie Sheen whose wife called 911 on oh and need I mention Mel Gibson who is seemingly saying things that are 100% worse than anything said here? I's stop attacking the teenager who had sex and kept her child and focus my anger on the people who spew hate and disrespect women.

Pretty mean-spirited about Bristol Palin, aren't ya? No matter how you feel about someone, or, in your case, their family, there's no need to wish harm to anyone.

You need to put away your poison pen, and do your job, for a change.

It's not because Bristols a Republican, it's because she's dumb as rocks! I'm not sure that you should be proud that your claim to fame is getting knocked up at 16 and embodying all the family values that your mother was in the middle of shoving down peoples throats! (That goes double for you '16 and pregnant'!)

  • RebeccaDemers Aug 27, 2010

Why is everyone so down on Bristol Palin? Just because she and her mother are republicans? Good Lord, what happend to freedom? We are all entilted to our own opinions and just because we don't agree doesn't mean you should wish physical harm on someone. I have never heard the famous conservatives say that they wish Obama would break his leg in a few places, how mature you must be.

So Will Forte is leaving SNL? Any chance Will can take Kenan Thompson with him when exits. Please.

  • WeAreAwesome Aug 27, 2010

I'm going to miss Will Forte, he was so good as MacGruber. I've been watching SNL since I was a kid, so I sort of feel loyal to it.

  • KingofIPirates Aug 26, 2010

I kind of liked him as well, despite my inherent dislike of the majority of SNL skits.

  • Sami5118 Aug 26, 2010

I kinda liked Will Forte. I don't watch SNL anymore so it really doesn't bother me.
