The Jeffersonian team is expanding on Bones! The Fox show has cast Young and the Restless actor Ignacio Serricchio as the newest squintern, TVLine reports.

Serricchio will play a prominent forensic anthropologist from Cuba seeking asylum in the U.S. "He has to work his way up to a position that he already occupied for many years," executive producer Stephen Nathan told TVLine. "He feels that he's Brennan's equal, but Brennan really doesn't feel the same." Serricchio's arc is set to begin this spring.

Will Bones' potential 10th season be its last?

In addition to playing Alex Chavez on The Young and the Restless and Diego Alcazar on General Hospital, Serricchio guest-starred on the canceled Bones spin-off, The Finder.

Bones airs on Fridays at 8/7c on Fox.
