  • Elizabeth Anne Allen was born and raised in New York. Elizabeth moved to Hollywood after graduating from Russell Sage College (NY) to persue a career in acting. After a few odd appearances Elizabeth got her first reoccuring role on 'Bull', it was after this that she landed the role she is most well known for as 'Amy' on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Like co-stars on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia), Julie Benz (Darla) and Merceded McNab (Harmony), Elizabeth tried out for the leading role. None of them got the part as it went to Sarah Michelle Gellar however Joss Whedon was so impressed with all of them that he created great roles elsewhere in the show for them. Elizabeth got the role of 'Amy', a magickally inclined classmate of Buffy's. Her character only appeared in one episode each season upto season 5, however she got people talking in Season 6 when she returned for a few key episodes. Unfortunetly Elizabeth's character was manipulative and somewhat evil and her return was short lived. Many fans complained when Elizabeth wasn't written into any episodes beyond the second half of the season. However, now that she has finished filming for Buffy she has found new work on the show 'Green Sails' which has again boosted her popularity.moreless

    • (On what Elizabeth would do had she not gone into acting) Elizabeth: I work with a charity right now, and I really enjoy that. I really enjoy putting together functions and raising money for children. That's phenomenal, that's been a lot of fun, I think I would really love to do that.

    • Elizabeth: I love being in front of the camera. I give directors credit - there's so much to take into consideration, it's really intimidating to me. I don't think I'd want to direct, but I love writing and I love acting.

    • (On the Buffy the Vampire Episode 'Gingerbread') Elizabeth: It was kind of funny, because the day that they put me on the pyre was my birthday. So they said I was a human candle, and when they lit the candle everybody sang 'Happy Birthday' to me.

    • Elizabeth: It's always more fun to play a bad person. Those characters are always so much more layered.

    • (On her future plans after leaving Buffy) Elizabeth: Professionally, just to keep on doing my thing. I love acting. As for my personal life, I intend to savour and appreciate all those wonderful beings that I am choosing to share my life with and perhaps travel a bit more.
