Melbourne-based Gina Riley is a woman of many talents. She has appeared in many shows, including Big Girl's Blouse, Bad Eggs, The Bob Downe Show, Fast Forward and of course, her hit TV show, Kath & Kim, also starring Riley's close friends, Jane Turner and Magda Szubanski. Gina also has amazing singing talents, singing the opening song to Kath & Kim, which is Anthony Newley's 'The Joker', and also sing a rendition of the 80s song 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' in the final episode in 2003, luring 2.2 million viewers, the most ever tuned in for a program on the ABC. After a 4-year break from TV, after having daughter Maggie, she returned, this time bringing actors John Clarke and Brian Dawe with her to film the 1998-2000 series The Games, which was about the setting of, of course, the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. She played a character of the same name as herself and this gave her a chance to express her singing and dramatic skills.
