Katee Sackhoff

  • Katee Sackhoff: I was addicted to the original Star Trek when I was growing up, because of my dad. We grew up in St. Helen, Oregon and we weren't allowed to watch a lot of TV. I don't think we even had more than three channels, so it was basically watch Dynasty with my mom, watch Star Trek with my dad, or watch the mating rituals of beavers on OPB [Oregon Public Broadcasting]. So my brother and I watched Star Trek

  • Katee Sackhoff: I get some very nice fan letters. Someone actually sent one to my parents, with another letter inside for me. Kinda weird.

  • Katee Sackhoff: (speaking about Dirk Benedict) If Dirk pitched up to work on the show I'd probably quit. I met him in Los Angeles and I thought we'd really hit it off. He was a great guy, he was very complimentary and very un-Hollywood. Then he turned around a month later and talked complete crap about the show and the actors on it. He wrote an article saying the network sold out and my character was more brash than his character. I felt like he'd stabbed me in the back.

  • Katee Sackhoff (on working with Nathan Fillion on "White Noise 2"): It's pretty funny, because Nathan and I are just the biggest kidders, I don't know how we got anything done. We would just be making each other crack up, like during people's big dramatic death scenes, and we are just over there laughing in the corner. I had the best time ever. I honestly didn't want to leave that show, at all, and I wanted it to just keep going. I was like "Seriously, Battlestar is great and all, but I'll just stay with you guys. Can we make this a year long?...no? Okay, back to my day job then.

  • Katee Sackhoff (on Season 4 of BSG): We will find Earth. And I'm not a figment of people's imaginations.

  • Katee Sackhoff (when asked what she would like to see happen to Starbuck in season 4): We'd shot maybe one episode of the last season, and "TV Guide" asked me, can you tell us anything about the series, and I said as a joke, "Yeah, I'm a Cylon, and I die." And then seven episodes [later] I get a phone call from David and [executive producer] Ron [Moore] going, "Just so you know, we love you, but we're going to kill you." So I want to say I have no idea what's going to happen, and I just hope that it leaves the fans happy.

  • Katee Sackhoff (when asked if she was a fan of the original "Bionic Woman"): I wasn't born. Like "Battlestar Galactica", I'm just going to remake old shows for a living. I keep saying that next is "A-Team" and I'm going to play 'Face'. Just for sh!ts and giggles.

  • Katee Sackhoff (when asked if she had to keep the fate of starbuck a secret): I did. Isn't that horrible? I called David about on day two crying, going, "I can't do this. I'm lying to my family and they're all so upset." Everyone thinks that their show is going to get canceled. I was like, "You guys can't do this to me. You're going to have to tell some people." So they told Eddie [James Olmos] and I knew that once they told Eddie, he would tell everybody.
