  • Lara married Donald Ray Thomas in San Antonio, Texas, in December 2006. Lara’s rep Karynne Tencer told The Associated Press the news but no further details were released.

  • In 1998, Lara was reportedly a passenger in Jack Nicholson's Mercedes when he hit another car, and she allegedly fled the scene so she wouldn't be seen romantically with him, as she was dating David Spade at the time.

  • The role of Helen on The Practice earned Lara an Emmy nomination, as well as household fame and several Screen Actors Guild ensemble cast nominations.

  • In 1997, Boyle auditioned for the title role in David E. Kelley's Ally McBeal.
