  • Biography
  • Ramon Rodriquez hails from Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico and Lower East Side Manhattan, New York. While in high school in Michigan, he spent 11th and 12th grade playing basketball and then played college basketball at Wheeling Jesuit University for a couple of years. He then attended New York University where he earned, not surprisingly given his athletic background, his B.S. in Sports Management. He has continued to work athletics into his career, combining his love of it and music and dance, working with Nike, the NY Knicks, basketball performance groups, salsa dance troupes (like the Abakua Latin Dance Company), and instruments (like the piano and the conga). Ramon has also used his success in these areas to gain success in the film arena. He first appeared on Saturday Night Live as a young teenager. As an adult, though, he has moved from appearances, commercials, and performances, to the television and Hollywood screens, starring in television shows like The Wire and Daybreak and joining other celebrities in films like Pride and Glory, Bella, and Transformers 2.moreless
