  • Shigeru Miyamoto went to school to be an artist in Japan. After graduating from school he didn't have a job so his parents got him a job at Nintendo of Japan the only Nintendo HQ at the time,he became Nintendo's first artist. Nintendo was a card company from the late 1800s until the 1950's when they started making TV games. In the early 80's Mr. Miyamoto created Donkey Kong for arcades which became a huge success. The hero was called jumpman he later became Mario and Donkey Kong was sold to Rare Ware in the mid 90's. In the 80's Mario became a common figure more children at the age of 3 could identify Mario better than Mickey Mouse at one point. Mario Starred in Super Mario Brothers, which had 2 sequels Super Mario Brothers 2 & Super Mario Brothers 3 on the Nintendo Entertainment System(NES). Shigeru created the Legend of Zelda series and Star Fox series he sold Starfox to rare. Some of his recent games include Super Mario Sunshine, Pikmin, and The Legend of Zelda the Wind Waker for Nintendo Gamecube.moreless
