  • Sue is a familiar face from 'Allo 'Allo in which she played the cheeky role of Mimi. 'Allo 'Allo not only ran for a number of years on the BBC, but is also seen in 72 countries. The hugely successful stage show took Sue from England to New Zealand and Australia, then on to the London Palladium for 6 months. Sue has worked on classics such as 'The Merry Wives of Windsor' 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' and Bernard Shaw's 'Arms and the Man' for the New Shakespeare Company, which consequently took her to Spain, Germany, Italy and the Middle East. Her diversity ranges from Henry James, 'The Innocents' to 'The Rocky Horror Show' and Alan Bennett's 'Talking Heads' to Joe Orton's 'A Day in the Death of Joe Egg'. Her favourite musical appearance has been in 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. Whilst playing the Fortune, Piccadilly and Westminster Theatres with Marigold in 'Toad of Toad Hall' she captured the eye of Terry Gilliam for the film 'Brazil'. She has also made regular appearances on 'The Dick Emery Show' (BBC) and the series 'Katy' (BBC) before she was 18. During the last series of 'Allo 'Allo she took over the role of 'Suzette' in 'Don't Dress for Dinner' at the Apollo and Duchess Theatres, taking time off for 'Noel's House Party', 'The Royal Command Performance', appearances for 'The Princes Trust' and 'The Duke of Edinburgh Awards', 'Breakfast TV' 'Good Morning' and 'Children in Need'. Sue first appeared in Pantomime at the tender age of 15 in 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and has continued to do pantomime every Christmas performing from boy babe in 'Babes in the Wood' to ugly sister in 'Cinderella' with Arthur Bostrom and 3 hugely successful seasons opposite Bella Emberg with Bobby Davro. When Sue is not seen she is regularly heard, as many obscure characters for Jim Henson Productions. She has just made a pilot for a new animated cartoon for Hat Trick Productions. New projects include her 4th trip to Australia for The Twelfth Night Theatre Company with Dennis Waterman and Gorden Kaye and her new act of Mimi and the boy. Sue also has her own production company 'Maxon UK', which she runs with her husband, Keith Paddington Richards. The company is based in Lincolnshire and is in the process of taking the 'Allo 'Allo stage show to Scandinavia with all the original cast.moreless
