I think they may have slandered the dead person. This is pretty disturbing. A ghost is haunting the place, and the residents go to great lengths to prove to the viewer it was a certain man. Then they say that A) he says through a psychic he hates his wife (who was still alive at the time) and B) that he did something horrible to a little girl, either raping or murdering or both. Also, C), that this guy was feeling up the female owner of the house. Now, the guy died 20 years prior to their moving in at the show's opening. The male owner is an attorney in Grand Rapids, and the neighborhood the house is located in was named. Anyone there (or even anywhere really) could figure out who this is and what house and whatnot.

Imagine you are sitting down to watch this show and you realize "Hey, I grew up in that neighborhood in Grand Rapids." And "Hey, I remember, my mom had to go to a nursing home, and she sold the house to a lawyer and his family." And "Hey, dad did die about 20 years prior to that." Suddenly you're like "Hey, they're saying my dad raped a little girl!" Isn't that defamation or something? Or is it okay to say that about dead people?
