    • As far as morals go, Junior also mentions "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" in this episode, to which Aesop comments that's not one of his morals. The apple saying is much more recent, dating to the 1800s.

    • The moral of this story was, "You can't judge a book by its cover". Aesop Junior's modified moral was, "Too many crooks spoil the broth".

    • The three weasels were named Tom, Dick and Larry.

    • Goof: Throughout the episode, both Aesop and his son's hair is colored yellow, instead of their usual reddish-brown (as seen in the opening credits).
