  • Quotes (6)

    • Heyes: Now there's something wrong with this expedition. I don't know what it is and I don't think you know what it is either. So why don't you be honest with me and maybe we can help each other. Julia: What do you mean there's something wrong? Heyes: Well for one thing no one is who they claim to be. Except for me, of course.

    • Alexander: Mr. Smith, this might appear rude of me, but you seem rather young to be a guide, especially for what I understand to be extremely dangerous country. Heyes: There's nothing rude about that. In fact, I was just thinking you're rather tall to be an Englishman.

    • Kyle: You're getting paid thirty dollars a day?? Lobo: That's better than stealing! Kyle: That is stealing! Heyes: Yeah, but legal.

    • Heyes: Are you all right, Mrs. Finney? Julia: Julia. Heyes: No, it's Mrs. Finney; I'm having a hard enough time remembering you're married as it is.

    • Julia: Is there any chance you'll ever get to Boston, Mr. Smith? Heyes: I'm afraid not, Julia. Julia: Couldn't I change your mind? Heyes: I think you could and that's why it's a good thing your train is leaving right now.

    Notes (1)

    • Slim Pickens, who plays Sheriff Benton in this episode, also appeared as Mike the bartender in "Exit From Wickenburg."

    Trivia (2)

    • Heyes and Curry state that the route by which the explosives must be driven to reach the miners who ordered them is rough mountain roads, but all we ever see of it are small, gentle hills. Apparently the only mountainous terrain the company had access to shoot in was being used for Devil's Hole with Heyes and his party.

    • Nitpick: When Heyes and Julia explore the "Indian cave," there's plenty of light to see by...but nothing to indicate where it's coming from. Perhaps there was an ancient skylight?
