Jermaine Jones was revealed live (after the first 12 singers went) as being the 13th man. While others have been brought back before, it was always because another semi-finalist had left, for one reason or another, so he becomes the first person ever to be brought back after elimination, as an extra person.
Once again, the stage has been completely revamped.
It seems as if the judging order was suppose to be Randy goes first after the first singer, then Jennifer goes first after the second singer, and then Steven goes first after the third singer. But Steven started going first after the second singer, and then after the third Randy tried letting Jennifer go first, Steven went first again. For a while it went back and forth between Steven and Randy, until Creighton when Jennifer went first, and then again after Phillip. After that, they went in the proper order.
When introducing all the Boys at the beginning of the episode, Ryan accidentally pronounced Eben's first name with a long e sound, as suppose to a short e sound, but got it correct when introducing him before singing.
