Love and war, food and drink

    By CRaivios, Aug 03, 2008

Tony was truly in his element with this show. He loves Irish literature and culture. It certainly was not his first visit and absolutely not his last.

The show begins in Belfast. By the time this show aired, the Troubles were a thing of the past. Beyond politics and the food, it is great that peace has finally come to a war torn city.

One of the best parts of this series took place in Dublin. Tony got to partake Guinness, a food AND a drink. Then, Tony ate one of the meals I think was a favorite of the time he has been on TV. The meal he ate at King Sitric in Howth was an orgy of seafood. The razor clams, the prawns from the bay near Dublin and the lobster were of a quality not found in many places in the world. Yet another meal Tony will be dreaming about for years to come.moreless
