  • Quotes (2)

    • (the kids recall bad substitute teachers they had in the past via flashbacks, starting with Mr. Elkin...)
      Arthur
: Mr. Elkin, is this right?
(when Mr. Elkin turns to Arthur his large antlers knock Buster out of his seat)

      Mr. Elkin
      : Oh, sorry.
      Francine
      : (growls)
Buster: (narrating) Mr. Elkin wasn't as bad as Mrs. Bofini...
(Mrs. Bofini eats an apple in front of the chewing with her mouth open...)

      Mrs. Bofini
      : Spell "leather." (continues chewing)
      Kids
: (grossed out) L-E-A-T-H... uh... ohhh... (all the while Mrs. Bofini continues chewing with her mouth open, disgusting them from their work...)
      Arthur
: (narrating) The worst substitute teacher was Ms. Tremolo.
      Buster
      : (narrating) Who mumbled everything!
      Ms. Tremolo
: (muttering and mumbling incomprehensibly as she writes on the blackboard)
      Buster
      : What did she say?
      Arthur
: I don't know. Your ears are bigger than mine!

    • (class recites 1 times table) Brain: For goodness sake, we're in third grade you know! Ms. Ratburn: You mean this work is too easy? Brain: Uh-huh. (Binky is snoring loudly) Ms. Ratburn: Then let's recite the 2 times table!

    Notes (2)

    • Look Hard: In the library, when Arthur and D.W. are still searching for the blankie, Binky seems to be reading a book about butterflies, something that interests him in the episode 'Binky Barnes the Wingman.'

    • Buster imagines himself in a hilarous "Planet of the Apes" fantasy sequence with Rodentia as the fallen Statue of Liberty.
