  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (3)

    • Weatherman: (On TV as the electricity has just turned back on) If your power's out, keep watching this station and we'll tell you when to expect it to be turned on again!

    • Arthur: Good night, Mom. Good night, Dad. Mrs. Read and Mr. Read: Good night, Arthur. Arthur: Good night, Mr. Ratburn. Mr. Ratburn: Good night, Arthur. Good night, D.W. D.W.: Good night, Mr. Ragberp. Arthur: Good night, Pal! (Pal barks good-night.) Mr. Ratburn: Good night, Pal. Will there be more cake tomorrow?!

    • (Mr. Haney and Mr. Ratburn are locked in the school basement with only frozen food and beans) Mr. Haney: Oh, I hate school! Mr. Ratburn: (scoldingly) Mr. Haney! (to the school) He didn't mean it! Mr. Haney: I wanna go home. Beans!!!

    Notes (3)

    • In The Rat Who Came To Dinner, D.W. repeatedly pronounces Mr. Ratburn's name incorrectly, including:

      -Mr. Ratbite
      -Mr. Ropeburn
      -Mr. Rathead
      -Mr. Ragburp

    • We learn that Mr. Ratburn and Mr. Haney hate beans.

    • In "The Rat Who Came To Dinner", Mr. Ratburn brings movies of the cartoon Spooky Poo, an obvious parody of the cartoon Scooby Doo.

    Trivia (2)

    • When Muffy asks her Dad to fix the power he says "There are some things money can't buy," but theoretically they should at least have a generator. It seems odd that they have so many expensive things, but no independent generator.

    • During the blizzard, Arthur's dad calls the Crosswires when they are without power. Though they have no electricity, Muffy's dad answers on a cordless phone, something that would usually require power to operate.

    Allusions (1)

    • The Waltons In The Rat Who Came to Dinner, when the outside of Arthur's house is shown, the family and Mr. Ratburn are all saying "Goodnight" to each other. That is an obvious reference to the Walton family saying "Goodnight" to each other in the classic drama series, The Waltons.
