    • Connections to other episodes This episode has several connections to past stories "The Big Blow-Up," "Arthur vs. the Piano," and "Lost!" In "The World Record," Francine tries to break the world record for kicking a ball in the air the most times. She does 113 kicks before messing up. In "The Big Blow-Up," Binky bounced a soccer ball on his head 347,826 times. In "Arthur vs. the Piano," Arthur imagines all of the careers that he could have. One of the jobs is having the world record for creating the world's biggest pizza. Although, the pizza in "Arthur vs. the Piano," the pizza is bigger. When Binky imagines having the world's longest beard, the man driving the bus is the same bus driver from "Lost!"

    • In "The World Record", when Francine is walking down the street with Muffy and kicking the soccer ball, her count is ahead of her kicking.
