    • Robert Joseph: Open up Carl, I have snake cakes!

    • Maude: Oh, foo...! (falls and dies)

    • Courtney: And what is this? A robot? Ginger: No Courtney, that's a vacuum cleaner. It's used for cleaning. Courtney: Oh!! Fascinating!

    • Miranda: I bet her shelves are filled with pony toys. Courtney: I was talking to you. You'll have plenty of time to talk to yourself while I am at my dinner engagement. So, what do you think of my top? Miranda: It's perfect Courtney, just the right shade of green.

    • Lois: Who is supposed to be coming over to dinner tonight? Ginger: Courtney Gripling, she called on the phone yesterday. Lois: Isn't she the one that called you fashion impaired and made you cry? Ginger: That was like, 200 years ago in the 5th grade or something.

    Notes (1)

    • Nickelodeon had a strict NO-Dying policy from around 1996-2001. However, when this episode aired in USA, it was about a few months before they cancelled the "dead" rule. And, Maude died in this episode but some episodes are meant to be that way.

    Trivia (3)

    • Lois clearly states that she never drives anywhere at night without Car Companion Bob. But we see her driving at night in future episodes without him.

    • Before she goes to dinner, Courtney is modeling a top for the dinner to her friend Miranda. She specifically calls it a top, not a sweater or a coat, etc. When she arrives at Ginger's house, She is wearing the top but once the scene switches to the girls sitting in the living room, she is wearing a full length purple gown with spaghetti straps. The shirt is nowhere to be found!

    • Lois says to Carl, "...No candy residue, no penciled-on mustaches..." Car Companion Bob already has a mustache, and a very big one at that.

    Allusions (1)

    • This episode's plot and title is somewhat based upon a movie called Harold and Maude, a 1971 movie about the love between a teenaged boy and an old woman.
