Matty asks Bailey to prom and this upsets Jenna who finds solace in a self-discovery novel written by known to her.
It's sad knowing that I'm actually glad that this season of Awkward is now over, I haven't enjoyed it very much at all since it returned from its mid-season hiatus.
The story has become predictable (of course Matty was going to ask Bailey to prom, and of course Mr. Hart was Jonathan Russell), and repetitive (Jake starts a fight with Tamara about her being controlling, Ming is still worried about her virginity). It's obvious that this episode did nothing for me, and capped of one very painful half a season.
I was all for an unlikable Jenna (I initially liked her and Colin together) but her realisation and exploration of that darker aspect of herself (not including how self-absorbed she is) lead her character to become, at the end of this season, a self-pitying martyr. Don't get me wrong, the lesson she learnt at the end of the episode (though overly explicit for my taste) is an excellent one, but did we really have to wallow through half a season of Jenna tantrums and tears to get there? I'm sure there are better ways the series could have handled it.
Did u watch that episode on this website? Cause i want to watch this show from season 1 but u dont know how to make it start
