  • The one where: it's Martial Law. (And, no, not the awesome TV show.)

    • Ellen: This is just great. Bill Adama's little baby boy pulls the wool over your eyes, and you let him get away scot-free. You're a laughingstock! You didn't want this command. Well, don't worry about it. You won't have it for much longer. All because when push came to shove, you got shoved.

    • Starbuck: Didn't see any shiny silver out there. I think we're dealing with the human variety. Helo: Hope so. They're not as tough as mechanicals. Starbuck: Yeah, they do bleed good, though. You gotta like that.

    • Roslin: Well, Mr. Zarek, it would seem that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

    • Roslin: Doctor, I need your help, but its illegal, dangerous, and a violation of your oath as an officer. Doc Cottle: You're a lousy salesman.

    • Dee: Martial law isn't going down too well. Protests. Demonstrations. Some ships are even refusing to resupply Galactica. Lee: And this is the honeymoon period. What's a dictator to do?

    Notes (2)

    • This episode reveals that there are eight more Cylons in the fleet.

    • There are 47,861 Survivors.

    Trivia (1)

    • In the original Battlestar Galactica series, a game similar to pyramid is played, but it is called triad. The game was played in teams of two. Apollo and Starbuck played as a team. In the original series, pyramid was a card game.

    Allusions (1)

    • Jack Ruby: The Assassination of Lee Harvey Oswald Jack Ruby was the man who shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald during a live national television broadcast. Oswald was believed to have assassinated President John F. Kennedy. The way Cally murders Boomer is very similar in style to the murder of Oswald. This is the second allusion in the series to one of the key events that followed the assassination of President Kennedy. The swearing-in of Laura Roslin in the Miniseries reflected the scene of Lyndon Johnson's swearing-in after Kennedy's death.
