  • Roslin: (referring to the weeks-old body of the first Sharon) This what you gave them? Adama: It was a calculated risk. Roslin: Was it worth it?

Notes (3)

  • As of the beginning of this episode, there are 49,590 survivors in the fleet, three fewer than at the beginning of the previous episode.

  • Paul Campbell (Billy Keikeya) almost left the series after the end of Season One since he wasn't under contract. After his new show didn't work out, he returned for Season Two. The producers asked him to sign a five-year contract. He didn't respond and the producers sensed he wasn't committed to the show. They couldn't write long-term story arcs because they didn't know if Campbell would be available. Thus, they decided to kill off Billy, according to Campbell. Though he appreciates quality TV shows, he is not a science-fiction fan. It was difficult for him to leave the show, but Campbell says it was the right choice.

  • Although credited, James Callis and Tricia Helfer did not appear in this episode. This was the second consecutive episode in which neither actor appeared.
