  • Episode Description
  • Brennan reluctantly teams up with a Canadian podiatrist, whom she disparaged in a scientific article, in order to gain access to her remains after seven pairs of feet are found washed up on the U.S.-Canadian border. Brennan may have to acquaint herself with the true meaning of apology—or is that contrition?—as Dr. Filmore becomes a key part of the team's effort to determine the identity of the real victim from the ones that belong to research, and the true cause of death. Elsewhere, Cam has crossed a major boundary when a fraudulent but successful college application for Michelle is delivered to the lab along with some seriously ethical issues.moreless

  • This was the worst episode of Bones in my opinion, even though Bones was adorable and Booth was ever so charming.

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (7)

    • Sweets: (about Michelle's forged application) Did you consider the person that didn't get in because you cheated? Cam: All right! I'm a terrible person. I stipulate to that. But that's not why I'm here. Sweets: (amazed) You're kidding. Cam: What I need is your advice on how to tell Michelle that she has the option of going to one of the best universities in the world. Sweets: Unfairly and illegitimately. Cam: I'd rather not put it to her that way. Sweets: I can't help you. Cam: Why not? Some sort of professional code of ethics? Sweets: No, my own personal code of ethics. You should consider putting one together of your own.

    • Dr. Filmore: So, does everybody who works with Dr. Brennan end up in therapy? Dr. Sweets: If it's any consolation, she spent three years degrading the entire field of psychology and essentially dismissing my life's work as a foolish waste of time.

    • Dr. Filmore: Confrontation's not a natural state for me. I'm … Canadian. Dr. Sweets: Canadian, or afraid?

    • (Brennan pulls a foot from the river bank.) Brennan: Based on the size, this belonged to an adult male. Booth: Hmm. Brennan: Given the range of motion of the metatarsophalangeal joint, I'd say he was somewhere between 18 and 50. Booth: Great. That narrows it down to about 50 million people.

    • Booth: But, you know, you really should apologize to him. Brennan: I already explained— Booth: I know you did, but come on, Bones, he's hurting. All right? Whether you're right or wrong, you leveled the guy. Brennan: He's a grown man. Booth: Sometimes that makes it hurt more. What makes us human, Bones, is that we can feel compassion and regret. Brennan: Why is it so important to you, Booth? Booth: Because I know the kind of person that you are, and I think you should let other people in on the secret, too. Right?
