    boy meets real world

    By futuramarama, Oct 29, 2010

cory starts filimg eric, jack and shawn's apartment life for an assignment for feeny. he enjoys it, but when it becomes evident that jack and shawn are having problems getting along, will cory intervene?

good episode, i liked the humor of it and i liked the seriousness of the last half, like when shawn is telling his story of how he used to write jack, wanting to know about him, but jack never wrote back. overall a good continuation of the previous episode and a pretty interesting episode. My overall grade for this episode is an A+. Just a perfect episodemoreless

    brothers part two

    By Canogaparkcindy, Jun 21, 2010

In continuation to the season premiere, what this episode felt as was "Brothers" Part Two, since it dealt with the same issue. This episode was a bit better, I felt as though it was more emotional, and it was just more enjoyable to watch in general, both episodes were good regardless.

What definitely was fun to watch about this episode was the different style this episode had. In documentary format, Cory does a film for his class, and films Shawn, Eric, and Shawn living together. What's starts out as a fun video project turns out to be more serious than that, when Shawn & Jack have serious problems. Topanga sees it, but Cory can't since he's behind the camera. It turns out Shawn always wanted a brother and he always felt as though Jack was ashamed of him when he never answered any of his letters. When it turns out Jack never receive his letters, things are resolved in the end. The thing I love about this show, is that things can be so emotional and moving one moment, but then just make you laugh out loud the next. This episode was a perfect example of that.moreless

Oh so close, but not to be!

    By TriviaDude, Jun 21, 2010

Cory's idea of filming Eric, Jack & Shawn for his project was a little lame.

Even Jack held a guitar, never got to play it or even sing for that matter. That is a disappointment for Matthew Lawrence fans & why I gave it a 3.

However, Matt did make a comeback, 64 episodes later (see As Time Goes By).

    Cool!

    By VGFreak8, Aug 07, 2007

Cory videotapes the lives of Shawn, Jack and Eric while they are living in the apartment. It is for Mr. Feeny's film class. Cory doesn't partake in any of the drama that is happening. Jack and Shawn don't seem to be getting along. They don't know each other at all. Morgan gets a replacement for Eric. Cory realizes that the crisis between Jack and Shawn is serious and he helps them.

This was a great episode! It was the also the first episode with Angela. I'm glad that Jack and Shawn worked everything out! This episode gets a 9.5 out of 10!moreless

    A very interesting episode...

    By RidersAngel, Mar 30, 2007

This is a very interesting episode to watch, but definetly sad in places. "Boy Meets Real World" is the second part to "Brothers." In this episode, Cory is still filming his video for class

(He wants it to be like the show,"The Real World") and through the whole episode he films Shawn, Jack, and Eric living their lives in their apartment. But, the whole time Cory doesn't see that Shawn and Jack are having some problems relating and getting along with each other.

Not until the end of the episode does Cory finally realize that he's not being a friend, but the man behind the camera and because of that he never saw the truth about Shawn and Jack. After Cory realizes this (Thanks to a talk with Mr. Feeny and Topenga) he meets Shawn at the old run down apartment that Jack and Shawn used to live in together when they were little. It's there that Jack and Shawn have a heart-to-heart talk about what happened between them and their dad and Shawn reveals that he'd always wanted a brother and that when he found out that he had one he got the courage to write Jack letters. Jack never answered them, though - making Shawn think that Jack didn't want anything to do with him and Chet (Shawn's dad). It turns, out though, that Jack's mother was throwing the letters away. After all is said and Shawn and Jack make up , they're the best of friends. :)moreless
