  • show Description
  • This show is the story of a drifter named Ran (Pronounced Ron) who fights like a Samurai, but does not follow the code of the Samurai. Ran, on her journey, tends to run into Meow of the Iron Cat Fist. Meow is a fighter who often gets stuck paying Ran's sake tab at the bars. Tsukikage Ran is a show based in the warring states period of Japan that has individual episodes that are just short stories of their adventures. Tsukikage Ran is a parody of a type of show called Jidaigeki in Japan. Jadaigeki are shows about the Samurai set in feudal Japan (Edo Period). Tsukikage Ran: Ran is a Ronin Samurai (Samurai without a master to serve) who loves to lie around and stair at the sky on nice days. The only thing she loves more than that is sake. She doesn't want to get involved with anyone else's problems, but Meow tends to get her involved anyways. A master of the sword, Ran is usually mistaken as a man because of her Samurai attire. Meow: Meow is the sidekick fist fighter. She is a master of the fighting techniqe call the Iron Cat Fist. Meow is always willing to help those in need, even when it comes to paying for Ran's tab Alternative title: Kazemakase Tsukikage Ran RAN, the Samurai Girl Samurai Girl Ran Tsukikage Ran - Carried by the Wind Wind-borne Moon-lit Ran Opening Theme: "Leave it to the wind" by Akemi Misawa Ending Theme: "Leave it to the Wind 2" by Reiko Yasuharamoreless

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Notes (2)

    • The first episode points out that Ran is just a traveler and does not want to take part in anyone's problems but her own.

    Allusions (2)

    • Ran: "Meow what are you doing with that sign?"
When a Samurai fights everyone in a dojo and wins they claim the dojo's sign to show they "beat the dojo"

    • Barkeep: "It's hot or cold water"
Sake is served hot or cold. When the sign at the bar said hot or cold it meant water, but Ran thought it was Sake.
