  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (7)

    • Diane: How could I have been so wrong? Carla: A lifetime of practice.

    • Carla: Diane, I heard screams. Diane: Oh I dreamt I was being murdered. Carla: Was I the one who was murdering you? Diane: No. Carla: Was I helping in any way?

    • Diane: I just had the worst nightmare of my entire life. But the way Sam, you were beastly to me. Frasier: Oh really. Well how was I? Diane: You weren't in it. Frasier: Of course.

    • Sam: (to Diane) Hey, no guy is going to walk in here into this brightly lit bar and attack you. [Lights go out]

    • (after Andy leaves the bar, Diane follows Sam into the office) Diane: Sam, I'm sorry. I feel awful. You were right. Please accept my apology. Sam: Oh, forget it, Diane. I forgive you. "The quality of mercy is not strained; it droppeth as the gentle rain from Heaven upon the place beneath. It is twice blest: it blesseth him that gives and him that takes." Diane: Thank you, Sam. What did you say? Sam: I think you heard me. Diane: Yes, but YOU said it. Sam: (puts on his smoking jacket; Diane is astounded) Come on, Diane. You really didn't believe that buffoonish fa├žade that I've been perpetrating for the benefit of my blue-collar clientele did you?

    Notes (1)

    • Nancy Cartwright would later go on to voice the charcter of Bart Simpson for more than 20 years.

    Trivia (2)

    • Mistake - Frasier says he's seen Andy several times. But since he was supportive of him, it's still odd for him to shriek.

    • When Norm goes into the basement, it's clearly seen that the doorknob is on the right side. However, when Diane shuts the same door behind her the knob is on the left side.

    Allusions (2)

    • Sam: "The quality of mercy is not strained..."
Sam is quoting from "The Merchant Of Venice", the 1600 play by William Shakespeare (1564-1616). The line is from Act IV, scene 1 and is part of Portia's attempt to persuade Shylock to give up his claim of a "pound of flesh" that Antonio has offered as guarantee for Shylock's loan to Bassanio.

    • Item: Super Boggle Woody and Cliff are playing Super Boggle, the large version of Boggle.
