  • Guess who's coming to dinner? Not the food, that's for sure.

  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (7)

    • Sam: Christmas comes earlier every year, doesn't it? Woody: I think if you check Sam, it always comes on the 25th of December.

    • Frasier: Woody, would you care to taste the gravy skin?!

    • Diane: Isn't the game over yet? Woody: Not yet. Diane: Their uniforms are different colors. Cliff: They have to change them every time they score a touchdown.

    • Diane: Sam Malone...kiss your butt goodbye!

    • Norm: I think somethings wrong with your oven, Carla. Carla: My oven was fine until you stuffed Birdzilla in it.

    Notes (4)

    • Norm's wife, Vera Peterson, is played by George Wendt's actual wife, Bernadette Birkette.

    • That slipping by Sam Malone is not scripted. The floor was so covered with food, Ted Danson had no footing whatsoever - he was in danger of slipping and hurting himself in that food fight.

    • When some of the characters state at the table who they wish could be there for Thanksgiving dinner with them but they aren't, one of the people mentioned was Coach, by Sam.

    • Vera appears for the only time, however her face is covered with pie.

The situation here where Diane mistakenly believes that she was invited to her professor's social event as a guest - only to find out that she was invited to work as a waitress - is is repeated in Season 11, when Rebecca is invited by Mr. Gaines to his house for a classical concert (Rebecca Gaines, Rebecca Loses).
