    • Chuck: I can't bare the thought of you getting hurt. If this thing goes off so, I want you to go. Now, please. Save yourself. Sarah: Ok, you know what? You could have told me that before I climbed under those lasers. Chuck: I.. What I was... I... Sarah: Chuck, you are being ridiculous! C'mon! Even for a men that is trying to free himself from high-tech explosives. Casey and I know the risk but of course we are gonna help you. This is your mom. Chuck: I love you, you know that? And... And I'd say that even if you weren't in the process of saving my life right now. Which, does by the way, make you about 20-25% sexier in my book. All right, 50.

    • Sarah: Is this the part where I'm supposed to ask you what you're thinking about? Chuck: My mom. I thought she was a prisoner that needed to be saved, and...then I come to find out she's just one of the bad guys. Sarah: Chuck, we don't know what side your mom is on. Chuck: Maybe not. But there's one thing I do know. In order to find the one person who...left me, I've endangered the lives of everyone who would never leave me. Morgan, Casey, you. I'm gonna stop looking for my mom. Sarah: No. Chuck... Chuck: No, it's okay. I thought I had to bring my family back together, but I don't. You guys, Awesome, Ellie, you're my family. I love you. Sarah: I love you. I'll see you inside. Chuck: Yeah. (Sarah goes inside; Chuck's phone rings and he answers it) Chuck: Hello. Mary: Hello, Chuck. It's your mother.

    • Chuck: (About Alex) Still haven't told Casey yet, huh? Morgan: No. Chuck: Well, be careful how you break the news to him. He might kill you accidentally.

    • (After finding out Casey told his daughter that Morgan stood up for their relationship) Morgan: Casey, thank you. Casey: You break her heart... I break your everything.

    • Lester: Casey, now that we know you're "cool", you should know that we do "installs" like that twice a week.

    Trivia (6)

    • The character names of Casey's old team all derive from computer manufacturers: "Packard" (from Hewlett-Packard), "T.I." (from Texas Instruments) and "Mackintosh" (after the Apple Macintosh).

    • Featured Music: "Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo (Casey's funeral) "Day Like This" by Time Again (Casey takes down his former team and escapes) "On Sale Now (As Heard On Chuck)" by Daniel May (Jeff answers the phone when Casey calls in a Code Red) "Shop Till You Drop (As Heard On Chuck)" by Billy Martin (Morgan tells Casey he and Alex were together but are pretty much over now) "Second Hand News" by Mates of State (Morgan gives Casey an invitation to his party; again at the party)

    • Goof: Casey wears a Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze service stars to indicate multiple awards. This would indicate that he served four tours during the Vietnam War. For that to have been possible, he would have to be nearly sixty years old.

    • This episode settles the ambiguity about John Casey's rank in the Marine Corps. The insignia on his uniform clearly indicate he is a "full" or "bird" colonel and not a lieutenant colonel.

    • When Lester tells Morgan that Casey has been hitting the OG Kush and that he has "couch lock", he is referring to a potent strain of marijuana called OG Kush. Couch lock is what sometimes happen to people when they smoke too much marijuana, they can't seem to move from their seated position.

    Allusions (2)

    • The scene when Casey tries to get his body feel again is an allusion to the "Kill Bill" movie.

    • The funeral scene in this episode is an allusion to a similar scene in the classic 1963 film Charade starring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. In Charade, three men attend a funeral and check to make sure the deceased is actually dead-one by sticking the body in the casket with a straight pin.
