    • Eddie George was the Heisman Trophy winner (awarded to the top college football player) while playing for Ohio State in 1995, the season that had just concluded when this episode aired.

    • Los Angeles is by far the largest market in the United States that has no NFL franchise. From 1982 to 1994, the city had two NFL franchises, but in 1995 the Los Angeles Rams moved to St. Louis and that same year the Los Angeles Raiders moved to Oakland.

    Allusions (1)

    • In this episode, Hayden argues, "We'd be letting Orlando down by moving, just like in Cleveland and Houston." At the time this episode aired, the Cleveland Browns were in the process of moving the team to Baltimore to become the Ravens; the Houston Oilers had already announced plans to move the club to Tennessee to become the Titans two years later.
