  • Reid: Actually, I, ah, really have to, um, you know, go.
    JJ: You do?
    Reid: For like 30 minutes.
JJ: Why didn't you say something in the car?
Reid: (to Tobias) Do you mind?
Tobias: My father doesn't like it.
Reid: Your father? You're like... 30.
Tobias: At what age should one start disrespecting the wishes of their parents?

  • Dennis Kyle: Football is over until next year.
Lacey Kyle: Which means I get Sundays with my husband back.
Dennis Kyle: I already miss it.
    Lacey Kyle: Hey!

  • Prentiss: (to Morgan) Besides, is it really that hard for you to get your groove thang going again?
    Gideon: Only when he's sleeping.

  • Reid: Referring to oneself in the third person is not uncommon for an unsub. Ted Bundy gave thoroughly detailed accounts of his murders, but he never admitted doing them, he'd just say, "the killer."

  • Prentiss: (watching Morgan dance between two women) Hey, Morgan, be careful. The one in the back could take your wallet!
Morgan: That's all right. I'll be a broke, happy man!

  • Morgan: Yeah, talk to me, Baby Girl.
Garcia: Are you at the crime scene?
    Morgan: Yup.

  • Tobias: This is a warning, not a show. What's wrong with you people?

  • Morgan: The unsubs are right about one thing. The world is pretty screwed up.

Allusions (4)

  • JJ: (playing darts) Ooh, another one bites the dust! "Another One Bites The Dust" is the title of a 1980 song by Queen.

  • The references to Jezebel come from two different parts of the Bible. The quotes "I shall cast her into a bed," "I gave her space to repent of her fornications," and "she calleth herself a prophetess to teach and to seduce my servants" are from Revelations, Chapter 2. This "Jezebel" is believed to refer to anyone who leads people away from the true faith. The second quote by Tobias concerning Jezebel being eaten by dogs is from 2 Kings 9, describing the historical queen, Jezebel, who has turned the Kingdom of Israel from worshipping God to worshipping Baal. Her fate is to be hurled out a window, and then her body is left to be eaten by dogs.

  • Reid: In the case of Dick Hickock and Perry Smith, Perry was the subservient personality. This is a reference to Richard Hickock and Perry Smith and their murder of the Clutter family, when the agents are discussing team killers. The murder happened in Kansas in 1959. Truman Capote detailed the murders in his book In Cold Blood.

  • Reid: An alien entity, Sargon, takes over Kirk's body... During the bar scene, Reid challenges people to ask him about Star Trek episodes so that he can tell them the plot, identify the alien races in the episode, and quote Dr. McCoy. There are several Star Trek series, but the one being discussed here is the original. The episode that is the main topic of discussion is episode 49/2-20, "Return to Tomorrow," which aired on February 9, 1968.
