  • A cigar maker is found in his store tied up, beaten, mutilated, and murdered with a chaveta, a cigar-making tool featuring a rounded blade. The investigation leads Horatio to a group that helps Cuban refugees. Across town, a 25-year-old man is gunned down while withdrawing money from an ATM, but the motive doesn't appear to be robbery since the cash he withdrew is left behind.

  • An ok episode, a little boring. I liked the B case more than the A case.

    • Speed: (about the victim) You know, just for the record, that guy, he was just trying to talk to you. He was trying to find an opening. Melanie: He insulted me. Speed: Maybe it was to get your attention. Next time, why don't you try rejection because it's a lot less messy, and you know what, guys are used to it.

    • Alexx: Every warm body we have is out tonight, and we're still outnumbered by the cold ones.

    • (Calleigh and Speed examine a substance) Calleigh: What is that? Some kind of a lotion? Speed: Looks like skin moisturiser. Calleigh: Great! Well that narrows it down to everyone in the state of Florida, plus the tourists.

    • Marisela: (watching Carlos going to prison) I've waited 10 years for him to come over, and now I lose him again.
