  • Quotes (8)

    • George (V/O): I think some people wander because that's who they are. Wandering is what gives them oxygen. It's the wandering that allows them to live. I was beginning to think that that's the kind of person I was. The kind of person for whom one job, one love, even one life wasn't going to be enough to hold me.

    • Dolores: You're welcome to bunk with me if you don't mind my night sweats... Kidding! Those ended weeks ago.

    • Daisy: How old do you think she is, I'm thinkin' 70. George: I don't know, I'm not good at that. Daisy: It's not a question of being good at it, it's just a game, you guess someone's age. George: How old are you, like 35? Daisy: Yeah. You're not good at it.

    • Daisy: What kind of moisturizer do you use? George: I don't. Daisy: Georgia. Sweetheart. Just because you're dead doesn't mean you have to give up.

    • George: Why don't you ever say anything to her? How cool can that be, stealing from dead people. Rube: I don't have a particular moral objection to the practice of taking the possessions of someone who can no longer use 'em. George: I'm gonna start stealing stuff. Rube: No, that's a bad idea.

    Notes (2)

    • The budget allocated to special effects in this episode seems to has suffered a severe cut as two soul passings (the old lady and the cook) were not shown but only hinted at.

    • Jasmine Guy is credited but doesn't appear.

    Trivia (8)

    • During Angus's death he leaves a box of matches by an open flame. Since he has probably been a cook for a while he should know that is dangerous, so it is probably a goof. Or it could be an effort to build suspense as to how Angus will die.

    • The cook who was reaped name is Angus Cook, which is interesting because his first name is a type of beef and his last name is Cook.

    • Featured Deaths: - Old Woman hit by car (Soul taken by George) - Cook choked on a ham sandwich (Soul taken by Rube)

    • In this episode we learn that the souls can't leave if something is holding them back on Earth. In this case, the woman's dog, and Angus business, although this is not formally mentioned until episode 10, and this was probably added in, since when Daisy asks Rube why, he says that he doesn't know.

    • Mason now lives in the old woman's home that he took in the 5th episode.

    Allusions (2)

    • Rube: Ham sandwich, like Mama Cass. Cass Elliot known as Mama Cass, was one of the members of the pop quartet "The Mamas & the Papas". She was rumored to have died choking on a ham sandwich but, according to evidence, that is merely an urban legend.

    • Cook: ...I'm giving you Ancient Chinese Secret... "Ancient Chinese Secret" is a reference to a laundry detergent commercial from the 70s, in which a Chinese man working at a laundromat tells a gullible woman that her clothes get so clean because of a secret passed down from generation to generation.
