    • Orangejella: Are you still going to see Bellyflop? Sharenna: I think I blew that chance, literally.

    • (After Gug gets the boys blown down the ventilation system) Emmitt: Way to go, Gug. Now we're totally lost. Gug: Well we wouldn't be if you didn't eat the stupid map. Emmitt: You have to eat the evidence so it can't fall into the hands of the enemy spies.

    • Miss Kisskillya: You are to erase that entire blackboard with this toothbrush. Jim: Yes sir... I mean ma'am.

    • (The boys are planning to get Duncan's yo-yo back) Emmitt: We... Jim: Create a force-field around ourselves and blast the kryptonite trap that was laid for us? Emmitt: No, super geek. (Later) Emmitt: Any questions? Jim: Yeah. Tell me again, how do we get past the kryptonite?

    • Jim: Green Lanturn would have taken a left turn at the cafeteria. Gug: Would the Green Lanturn also have done this? (He slugs Jim's arm) Jim: Come to think of it, ya, in issue #87.

    • Orangejella: Thanks a lot! Lemonjella: You wouldn't have won anyway!

    • (After Sharenna sprayed Miss Kisskillya's butt) Miss Kisskillya: You CAN'T stay out of detention. Sharenna: Oh, I can. I just chose not to.

    • Orangejella: Lemonjella, we're already in so much trouble... We don't want to add perjury to the list!

    • Aired September 30 2003 on YTV

    • Another interesting thing to note is after the van passes in front of the kids a few seconds later the same van passes in front of the camera (sic) going towards the kids and passes them. In slo-mo the letters from "cartoon co." are seen

    • as the kids of the show walk down a street a van crosses in front of them that says"Bob and Mikes Cartoon Co." Bob and Mike is in reference to Bob Doucette the Supervising Producer and Michael Maler One of the shows developers. They both also share the honor of of doing the main title lyrics.

    • Lawson's Lake is a reference to Dawson's Creek.

    • This has many references to the WB network.

    • At the beginning of the episode, one of the twins' hairbands briefly changed color when Shelly shook her hand.

    • This episode was a finalist in SHINE Awards 2000: Sexual Health IN Entertainment.

    Trivia (5)

    • Lemonjella got disqualified for butting in. But what on earth did Orangejella get disqualified for?! Shouldn't she have gotten a new word?

    • Here, the Lemonjella twins say that they like Lawson`s Lake. But in Little Miss Popular, they said they didn`t watch TV. Plus, in another episode, they were watching a movie on TV.

    • When Shelly missed the flight, she was concerned over how to get to Washington. Wouldn't the rest be concerned over how to claim their luggage?

    • The boys were playing with their balloons and took a lot of beating, especially when they threw them down basketball hoop. Also, Shareena's balloon bounced on the floor a few times without breaking. And yet, the boys' balloons broke when they hit the teacher on the head.

    • How could the teacher have lifted that boulder, and why did she bother putting it back up just to toy with the students?

    Allusions (11)

    • Duncan's nightmare is most likely based off of the "Heffalumps and Woozles" sequence from Winnie the Pooh and the Bluster Day.

    • Title pun: The man with the Golden gun.

    • Emmitt: The truth is out there... This is obviously an X-Files reference.

    • Allusion: Warner Brothers: During the Spelling Bee, while Jim was waiting at the Principal's Office, he was reading "Superman"--a WB property.

    • Allusion: Who Wants to be a Millionaire After Gug won the Spelling Bee, there were sound effects from the show, "Who Wants to be a Millionaire."

    • Shelley: If anyone had told me I'd be waiting for aliens on the roof of the school on my first date, I would have said they were crazy. ... I missed the Disco Daze dance waiting for those stupid aliens to land. What a fool I am! The big school dance only happens once a year, and where am I? I'm sitting on a roof! You owe me another date!!

Shelley's speech here is lifted from Sally Brown's outburst at the end of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

    • The name for this episode shares the same name with the classic episode of seinfeld.

    • Title pun: To good to be true.

  • This show centers around a group of kids, their mean teacher, and said teacher's kiss-up. Doesn't it remind you of a certain Disney show?

  • I would rather be put in a detention room with a group of sadistic kids than watch this show again.
