  • There is a few shorts that never appeared in Mickey Mouse Works.

  • Although the newer cartoons they show at the House of Mouse are recycled from Mickey Mouse Works, "Hickory Dickory Mickey" doesn't seem to be anywhere in the M.M.W. guide, so, apparently, it really was just made to replace the cartoons that were stolen by Pete.

  • Pepper Ann and her mom make a cameo appearance at the end of this episode. So far, they're the only Disney Television Animation characters to ever appear on "House of Mouse." Pepper Ann's mother says something like, "Don't tocuh the villian, honey" to P.A. after Pete falls out of the sky.

  • You can also watch this episode on the "Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed In At The House of Mouse" DVD.

  • The appearance of the Censor Monkeys is perhaps a reference to how, in cartoon shorts, excessively violent (i.e. kids throwing knives at Mickey in "Mickey's Nightmare", or Goofy accidentally sticking his fork into a plug socket in "Mickey's Trailer") or supposedly stereotypical (e.g. the Spaniards in "For Whom the Bull Toils") bits are censored when aired on television.

Trivia (33)

  • At the end of this episode, the House of Mouse blows up (thanks to the wolf). But the exact episode after, it's still intact as if nothing happened to it.

  • "I can't believe nobody out there knew the Third Caballero is our own Donald Duck!" Mickey says. But Pumbaa knew it was Donald, so shouldn't that be almost nobody?

  • Mickey doesn't make a lot of appearances in this episode.

  • How could the golf ball float and hit Donald if it was controlled by a magnet?

  • Why would there be a crocodile in a water hazard of a golf course?

  • How could rent be so cheap that you can buy only one wheel of cheese with the money?

  • If there was a ski lift on the mountain, then the mountain would have been named already, and most likely, tons of people would be up there.

  • Animated Shorts: Minnie Visits Daisy: Minnie decides to visit Daisy and bring one of her "famous" apple pies, but can't seem to get Daisy's attention when she comes knocking on the door. Mickey's Big Break: When Donald and Mickey break a picture of Minnie and Daisy by playing football in the house, they go to extreme lengths to try to replace it.

Allusions (17)

  • Quackstreet Boys Huey, Dewey, and Louie's band is a clear parody of the Backstreet Boys.

  • Pete: Ooh, look, Annette Funicello!
Annette Funicello, who was one of the Mouseketeers on the original 1950s "Mickey Mouse Club TV series, is mentioned in this line.

  • The Mask
Big Bad Wolf Daddy's outfit is very similar to what the title character in the 1994 Jim Carrey film The Mask wore (the banana-yellow zoot suit and matching hat.) This could also be because the Mask actually morphs into a CGI cartoon wolf when he howls and wolf-whistles over Tina Carlyle in the film, hence Big Bad Wolf Daddy wearing an identical outfit as The Mask's.

  • Girl: Pretty fly for a goof guy.
In 1999, The Offspring (a band) released a song called "Pretty Fly for a White Guy." This song is still pretty popular today, but its not referenced in a lot of movies or shows, especially not in cartoons.

  • Agent Guy: He is now...
Donald renames himself "The Duck Formerly Known as Donald," just like Prince-- that is "The Artist Formerly as... Prince."

  • Mickey: Is that your final answer?
This is a direct reference to the popular ABC network game show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire".

  • Mickey: There's a spinning tea cup illegally parked. License plate: R-U-DIZZY.
The "Mad Tea Party", the Disney theme parks' tea cup attraction, is referenced in this line.

  • Simba: [Timon and Pumbaa] always get all the attention.
Simba is of course referring to Timon and Pumbaa being so popular that they starred in nutritional spots as well as their own TV series.
