    • FRIDAY: There are over 5,000 men in this city who know that being a policeman is an endless, glamourless, thankless job that's gotta be done. I know it, too. And I'm damned glad to be one of them.

    Notes (4)

    • This episode doesn't have the regular "Dragnet 1967" music at the intro and ending credits. Instead, it sounds like the Dragnet theme slowly and suspensefully played on kettle drums!

      Canada: G
      USA: TV-G

    • This is Kent McCord's second appearance on "Dragnet 1967." Based on his excellent performance as the accused officer, Webb would create the role of Officer Jim Reed for him on "Dragnet's" sister series "Adam-12".

    • This episode includes the famous "What is a Cop?" speech, which Friday gives to the young officer.
