    • Clara: Hero, what's going on with your nipple? Captain Hero: Oh, not much. What's going on with yours?

    • Foxxy: With our little Chinese friend gone, things just wasn't the same. Our nails was unmanicured, our Zen garden was unraked, and now our Tibetans got way too much freedom.

    • Letta Lame: Are you fucking a hero sandwich?! What a freak!

    • (in the Duck Amuck parody) Foxxy: Now, where is I supposed to sleep? (A dirty mattress and dog bowl are drawn in.) Foxxy: Hold up. Is this some kind of joke? (Foxxy is redrawn into a weird creature)That's it! Show yourself! (Bugs Bunny is seen as the artist) Bugs Bunny: Hehehe... ain't I an asshole?

    • Little Orphan Annie: Don't let them take... your eyes.

    Notes (3)

    • This episode aired on The Comedy Network in Canada on December 23, 2007.

    • Toot has no dialogue in this episode.

    • When the young Captain Hero buries his picture, he says "Ice, Ice Baby" to reference Vanilla Ice despite the fact that it's 1986 and the single wouldn't hit the charts for another five years.

    Trivia (3)

    • Paget Brewster does not reprise her role of the Child Services Woman from "Captain Girl." Instead, Tara Strong voices her here.

    • It's learned in this episode that Foxxy's biological father is Uncle Benny while her mother was an actual fox.

    • It's learned in this episode that Ling-Ling ages like a dog as even though he's 21 in Battle Monster years, he's only three years old in human years.

    Allusions (7)

    • Dune: The scene of a sandworm jumping out of the Japanese rock garden and eating Toot is based on the Dune novels by Frank Hebert.

    • Garfield: The "clip" of Ling-Ling being denied Lasagne is a parody of the Garfield comic strip. Ling-Ling is drawn like Garfield, Xandir like his owner Jon, and a dog resembling Odie comes along and eats Ling-Ling's brain.

    • Uncle Benny Uncle Benny is an obvious reference to Uncle Ben brand rice, which came under fire for referring to their Afrian American spokesman as "Uncle". They promoted Uncle Ben to "chairman of the board" in a new advertising campaign in March of 2007.

    • Pulp Fiction Wooldoor injecting Ling Ling's heart with adrenaline and Ling Ling coming to with the hypodermic still in his chest is a nod to the 1994 movie Pulp Fiction.

    • 1980's References: In the young Captain Hero's room, there are posters for the popular arcade game Pac Man and a Star Trek movie poster. He also said "Walk Like an Egyptian" which was a popular song released by the Bangles in 1986.
