Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear General Lee, happy birthday to you!
It's a very special day in Hazzard. It's the General Lee's eighth birthday. And the Dukes remember that very day that the General Lee became a part of the Duke family. Bo was just getting out of high school and he and Luke wanted a racecar to race in one of Boss Hogg's races. They searched around and found a black Dodge Charger in a junkyard. They paid for it and brought it to Cooter's garage to have it worked on, not knowing that the car was the car that two crooks used as a get away car in a robbery, and they stashed what they robbed in the car. Bo and Luke run into those two and one of them pulled a gun on them, demanding to know where the car was. They get away and as usual Rosco didn't believe them when they tried to report it. Bo, Luke, Daisy, Uncle Jesse, and Cooter work on that car for about two days straight and they finally get a racecar. Boss and Rosco make a bet with Bo and Luke that if Bo and Luke's car beat Boss' car, Rosco would shave is moustache and Boss would eat his hat. I sure hope that hat was tasty because Bo and Luke won the race. This was one of the best episodes yet. It was a great way to explain how the General Lee came to be.moreless
Great story on how they got the General Lee
This was average at best but great on how they
Got the General Lee in the last season of the show
As Bo was in high school and Luke was out of the Marines
When they went to find a car and accidentally took a car that was stolen by some thieves!
What would had become otherwise a nothing car is the best recognized car in the world!
this is the beginning of the.....
This episode is the beginning of The end of The Dukes of Hazzard, because this episode is where they start using miniatures to do unbelievable jumps. They started using them in this episode to try and make costs cheaper, but in the long run it started the downfall of the greatest TV show of all time The Dukes of Hazzard! Sorry to say but this was the last season of The Dukes of Hazzard, I guess everything has to end eventually though it is sad, but it's true but The Dukes of Hazzard will live on in our hearts and in every generation forever! It is and is the only best TV show ever made and I don't care what anyone else thinks! YEEHAW!moreless
Great episode on how the Dukes got the General Lee.
This was a great episode on how the Dukes got the General Lee. It started off as the bad guy's car, and got a paint job and new engine. I enjoyed this story on how everything started. I am glad they decided to do this "flashback episode." Cooter only had some orange paint in the garage. Great episode.
