  • Quotes (1)

    • Cooter: Uncle Jesse, they're gonna keep an eye on Daisy, but who's gonna keep an eye on them two? Uncle Jesse: Who do you think, dummy? Follow me. Cooter: Who's gonna keep an eye on us?

    Notes (3)

    • Peter Brown had formerly starred in the western series Lawman and Laredo.

    • For this and his other appearance (in Jude Emery), Dick Sargent has his name added to the opening credits (the re-edited James Best-less version).

    • Dick Sargent (who is well-known for being the second Darren Stephens on Bewitched) appears as Sheriff Grady Byrd, the third replacement of James Best's boycott. The Grady Byrd character would be a lot like Gilligan-- not very bright and would frequently screw up but he usually meant well and always tried his best.

    Trivia (3)

    • Daisy is fired by the Boss & Sheriff Byrd midway through the episode. However, even after she's fired, she still repeatedly talks about her duties as an officer. Wasn't she an ex-officer by that point, meaning that it's no longer her duty? Perhaps it is a responsibility as she's a Duke & the family has morals that often have them entangled in police affairs, but she's adamant that she catches them on her own. Enos finally gets some real respect & affection from Daisy in this episode while Daisy is a deputy.

    • One wonders why Daisy was given the $10,000.00 reward for capturing the escaped prisoners when she let them escape in the first place, needed help from almost everyone to recapture them, and it was Grady Byrd who originally apprehended them by himself no less. This was one episode where the "establishment" in Hazzard appeared to be more competent than the Dukes.

    • When the 2 crooks try to take of in the airplane with Daisy and the pilot, at the end of the episode. Bo and Luke manage to crash the plane. In the following shot you see the cockpit, but the pilot is gone and only 3 people exit the plane. Sheriff Grady Bird replaces Rosco in this episode and arrests 2 crooks, but not the pilot from the airplane. Where did he go ? Editor's note: Good catch. I noticed this myself.
