  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (1)

    • Flannigan (about Ed Sullivan): Old Wooden Face! That zombie won't last two weeks on TV.

    Notes (3)

    • A lot of familiar faces in this one. You have Juliet Mills (Nanny and the Professor, Passions), Bob Crane (Hogan's Heroes), Carolyn Jones (The Addams Family), and Eddie Bracken (National Lampoon's Vacation).

    • Herb Edelman makes his second appearance of the series on this episode. Edelman had previously appeared on The Adventure of Auld Lang Syne.

    • This episode marked the final appearance on the series of Ken Swofford as newspaper muckraker Frank Flannigan. Flannigan fared no better than Simon Brimmer when it came to besting Ellery Queen.

    Allusions (1)

    • At the end of the episode the sponsor announces that they're going to sponsor a show starring Ed Sullivan instead of Frank Flannigan. Wise choice. The Ed Sullivan Show ran for over 20 years and was always one of television's highest rated programs during that run.
