    Allusions (4)

    • Battlestar Galactica (2004 series)
In the scene where Lupo finds a little robot spying on her in the shower, she calls it a "perverted little toaster." This references the 2004 reimagined version of Battlestar Galactica, in which Cylons are pejoratively called "toasters." (Erica Cerra [Lupo] played the role of Maya in four episodes, and James Callis [Trevor Grant] played the leading role of Dr. Gaius Baltar for the length of the series.)

    • Predator
In the scene where Allison tries to free Kevin from Tiny's grip, Tiny mimics her shouting in a slightly distorted way. This is a reference to the 1987 movie Predator and its sequels, where the eponymous aliens mimic human voice to affect their prey.

    • Aliens
In the scene where Allison tries to free Kevin from Tiny's grip, she shouts: "Get away from him you bitch!" This is a reference to the 1986 James Cameron film Aliens. Ripley shouts, "Get away from her, you bitch!", at the Alien Queen who has pinned down Newt, the young survivor with whom Ripley has bonded.

    • The Terminator
In the scene where Fargo invites Carter into his car to save him from Tiny, he says: "Come with me if you want to live." This is a reference to the 1984 James Cameron film The Terminator and its 1991 sequel Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
In the first film, human resistance fighter Kyle Reese saves Sarah Conner from the eponymous, artificial intelligent Terminator using the same line. In the sequel the line is used by a Terminator.
