    Trivia (2)

    • Georgia were due to compete in the first semi-final, but their entry was withdrawn as it breached the rules of the contest. It was seen that the song Georgia selected, "We Don't Wanna Put In" by Stefane & 3G, was a political slur on Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. Georgia refused to changed the song, and consequently their entry was withdrawn.

    • The Maltese artist, Chiara, has competed in the contest on two previous occassions, in 1998 and 2005.
