    Trivia (1)

    • During the fantasy where Julius is awarded for "Best Husband Acting Like He Was Sad About Not Going Out On His Anniversary When He Was Actually Upset About Losing His Money", you can see that the ribbon he is given says "B.H.A.L.H.W.S.A.N.G.O.O.H.A.W.H.W.A.U.A.L.H.M." (the abbreviation of the category). The same happens later in the fantasy with Chris, where he is awarded for "Best Kid Pretending Like He Gives A Damn About His Mother's Anniversary When He Really Wants To Get Out Of The House So He Can Sneak Out And Do Something He Doesn't Have Any Business Doing". His ribbon said "B.K.P.L.H.G.A.D.A.H.M.A.W.H.R.W.T.G.O.O.T.H.S.H.C.S.O.A.D.S.H.D.H.A.B.D.".

    Allusions (4)

    • When Rochelle asked Chris who should he call, in case they have ghosts in the house, he answers "The Ghostbusters". Ghostbusters was a 1984 movie (followed by a 1989 sequel) about parapsychologists who chase ghosts. The movie's theme song (which had the same title)'s chorus goes "Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!".

    • When Chris mentions who he should call in case of an emergency, he ends up saying NBA, and the narrator Chris said only in case they need Chris Mullin. Chris Mullin is an American basketball player, who won the Gold Olympic Medal in 1982 and 1984. The joke is that he's very tall and strong.

    • Chris (narrating): Sidney Poitier had nothing on my father's actin' abilities. Sidney Poiter is an American actor. He was the first black man to win the Academy Award For Best Actor In A Leading Role.

    • Vanessa: I was married once. For our anniversary, he took me to a Knicks game. I broke up with him at halftime. Chris (narrating): And ended up going home with Bernard King. Bernard King played for the New York Knicks from 1982 to 1987.
