  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (5)

    • (Andy runs into a holding Stephen Fry in the Gents - Fry is holding his BAFTA) Stephen Fry: [Referring to 'When the Whistle Blows'] Looks a bit desperate. That's all I'm saying. Andy: I don't really feel desperate. As I say, it's a knockabout comedy. I'm not into 'high art'. Stephen Fry: Ah yes, but as Oscar Wilde so wonderfully put it: 'We're all in the gutters, but some of us are looking at the stars.' [Stephen Fry makes the 1st of many 'almost' exits from the restroom] Andy: He was probably looking up men's trousers, the old poof. Stephen Fry: Sorry? Andy: He was looking up at the stars, yeah. Stephen Fry: Yes, that's right. I'm off to be looking at some stars myself right now. Andy: (Voice lowered, but threatening) You're going to be seeing some stars in a minute. Stephen Fry: What? Andy: Nothing! Why do you keep coming back in?

    • Agent: What is the best news you could receive today? Andy: You're going on full time at the Carphone Warehouse.

    • Chris Martin: Can we get on with this? I've got to do AIDS and alzheimers and land mines this afternoon, and I want to get back to Deal or No Deal ... plus Gwyneth's making drumsticks.

    • Agent: What news could you get that would mean you finally got the critical respect you've been looking for? Andy: I don't know BBC1 comedy with catchphrases and stupid wigs filmed in front of a live studio audience of morons, is suddenly considered cool. Agent [laughs] That's never going to happen is it?

    • Maggie: Is that the woman you lost your virginity to? Andy: Who? Maggie: The one that looks like Ronnie Corbett. Andy: That is Ronnie Corbett. Why would she be wearing a tuxedo? Maggie: She might be a lesbian. Andy: Then why would I lose my virginity to a lesbian? Maggie: Don't know she might have turned lesbian after you slept with her.
