  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (3)

    • Agarn: You're pointing that gun at my heart! O'Rourke: Oh, he's just trying to scare us. Agarn: And what a swell job he's doing!

    • O'Rourke: If they get that paybox, it'll be over our dead bodies. Agarn: "Our" dead bodies? O'Rourke: Yeah, we may have to shoot it out with them, Agarn. Agarn: You shoot it out with them, Sarge. I'd rather reach for the sky than be there.

    • O'Rourke: Never mind, Agarn. I guess it's true what the Apaches have been saying behind his back. Wild Eagle: What Apaches say behind my back? O'Rourke: Oh, nothing except that you're a cheap, miserly skinflint who wouldn't give his mother a piece of dried buffalo. Wild Eagle: Apaches say Wild Eagle a cheap, miserly skinflint who wouldn't loan his mother a piece of dried buffalo?!? Agarn: That's right. Wild Eagle: (under his breath to Crazy Cat) Never knew Apaches such good judge of character.

    Allusions (2)

    • When Agarn sarcastically asks the grumpy Mr. McGuire if he would play Santa, McGuire replies, "Bah, humbug," Ebenezer Scrooge's standard response from Charles Dickens' novel, A Christmas Carol. Despite his grumpy on-screen demeanor, actor Charles Lane never played Scrooge in any screen version of the story.

    • The title is a common phrase from western movies, used by robbers as a colorful alternative to "Hold up your hands."
