  • Trivia & Quotes
  • Quotes (3)

    • Dr. House: House!
      Peter: Roadhouse!

    • Lois: Oh, that's it! Peter is completely out of control! We've gotta do something to take him down and get your company back. Carter: Right, right, but how? Lois: In order to oust an idiot, we've got to think like an idiot. (thinking) Let's see, what's Peter's weakness? He's gotta have a weakness. (pause while they both think about it) Carter: (matter-of-factly)Swamp monsters. Lois: Swamp monsters! Of course!

    • Lois: Peter, what the hell is going on? You fired everybody at daddy's company? Peter: You bet. Lois: Are you out of your mind? Peter: Keep it up, Lois, I might fire you. Lois: You wouldn't! Peter: Does the name Lacey Chabert mean anything to you? (pause) Lois: (quietly) Ok, I'll behave. Peter: You will.

    Notes (2)

    • At the end when Dr. House talks with Lois he mentions we would like to change his accent to British- his natural. He is British, but he has to fake an American accent in the show House M.D., because that was the condition to play this character. In fact during Hugh Laurie's audition, David Shore said to Bryan Singer, one of the producers, that this is exactly what he needs- just an American.

    • Peter Griffin mentioned Lacey Chabert, who used to be Meg's voice actress in the first 13 episodes.

    Trivia (1)

    • The scary German bedtime story Peter mentions in a cutaway actually exists. It is called "Die Geschichte vom Daumenlutscher" (German for "The Story of the Thumbsucker" written by Wilhelm Busch, who was infamous for his rather sadistic stories. In the real story though, the boys' thumbs are cut off by a tailor, not by his mother.

    Allusions (3)

    • Scooby Doo The chase sequence between Carter Pewterschmidt, Lois and the swamp monster is an allusion to the Scooby Doo cartoon. In the cartoon, Shaggy would jump into Scooby's arms when encountering a monster, much like Carter jumped into Lois' arms. They would then take off running and popping in and out of different places. Eventually they would trap the monster and unmask him reveling his true identity.

    • Donnie Darko The part when Peter lands the plane and destroys his neighbors property is from the movie Donnie Darko.

    • Carter: I'm having a heart attack-ack-ack-ack-ack-ack! You ought to know by now! This is a reference to Billy Joel's song "Movin' Out".
