  • Fan Reviews (2)
  • Over zealously acting out what they believe to be a real-life Crane Boys Mystery, Frasier and Niles get carried away in a manner that is both endearing and hysterical.

  • Quotes (3)

    • Roz: Do you remember Alice's hamster I told you about? Daphne: Yeah, still keeping you awake? Roz: Not anymore. The dog ate it. Well, half of it. Daphne: Oh, no. Something like that happened when I was a girl. One of out cats got into one of my rat cages and took little old Pink Bottom right out of show business. Roz: Well, i don't mind the hamster dying. I just don't know how to break it to Alice. She's never had anything die before. Daphne: Well, how did your parents explain it to you? (Roz exhales) Roz: The wrong way. When I was six, my canary died. And that evening, my dad sat on the bed next to me and said, "dying is just going to sleep and never waking up." Then he turned off the lights and said good night.

    • (Frasier and Niles find a skull) Niles: Maybe it's a builder that got trapped or an exterminator that was overcome with fumes. Frasier: Probable solutions, Niles. However, neither is possible. Niles: Why not? Frasier: Because when you die, your head does not pop off like a champagne cork!

    • Niles: I think this rock was the murder weapon. Frasier: Why that rock instead of all the other rocks down there?" Niles: It's pointier.

    Trivia (1)

    • Frasier and Niles break into their childhood home to retrieve the time capsule they left underneath the floor. They break in by coming in through a window, which was the same way they used to go out after curfew when they were young. Upon breaking in, Niles congratulates Frasier and tells him, "You've still got it." Frasier replies that it is "just like riding a bicycle." That is an odd thing for Frasier to say because we learned in the next season's episode 'Fraternal Schwinns' that Niles and Frasier never learned how to ride bicycles when they were young. In that episode, Frasier even remarks to Daphne that people are always saying "it's just like riding a bike" in conversation, "but I only understand it in theory."
