Christopher Lloyd (one of the Frasier producers) worked with Wendie Malick on Just Shoot Me, and since that show ended last year, and needing to spice this show up, it was a no-brainer to add her to the cast. This created a long romantic arc for Martin, and one that did shy away a bit from the usual model for Frasier. Frasier rarely focused on Martin's love life, so this did freshen things up a bit, even if the 11th season was pretty mediocre as a whole.

While I did not love this episode, it did feature strong performances by the cast around. The already mentioned Wendie Malick left an impression in fans' eyes, and David Hyde Pierce was as good as ever tonight, despite not being given the best material.

Okay episode, but Frasier is capable of so much more than this.moreless

The reason Niles dusts chairs before sitting down on them is revealed.

    By Bountyhunterc28, Jul 06, 2007

Frasier and Niles enter a furniture store looking for a chair for Frasier's new office when he returns to private practice.

While shopping they run into their old babysitter Ronee Lawrence, and we finally find out why Niles is always wiping off things.

Frasier invites her over to get caught up, with hops of starting a romantic relationship, but what he doesn't suspect is for Martin to start working his charm.

So throughout the night both Frasier and Martin compete for Ronee's attention, and when she is called off to work, they both go down there to have her choose one of them.

Ronee is a great character, and its good that she wasn't a one time character, but became a recurring one.moreless
