  • Frasier: (aside to Roz about Bill Gates) Do you believe this egomaniacal gasbag -- he's taking over my show! Roz: Don't you think you're exaggerating, just a bit? Bill Gates: (on the air) Who do we have next, Roz? Roz: We have Bob from Fremont -- he has a question about his laptop. Bill Gates: Go ahead Bob, I'm listening.

  • The entire opening scene at KACL with Bill Gates is cut from the syndicated version. Instead, the episode starts with the next scene in Frasier's apartment.

  • For his work in this episode, Adam Arkin was nominated for a 2002 Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.

  • This is the real 200th episode. To celebrate, a special clip show hosted by Bob Costas was shown afterwards. The episode ran about 37 to 40 minutes, and the clip show filled out the hour. Because of this, the episode has more cuts than usual when airing in syndication.

  • Bill Gates appears and promotes his new product, Microsoft Windows XP.

Trivia (3)

  • Noel Shempsky does not actually say anything, he just waves to Bill Gates. Apparently they are "old friends."

  • There actually aren't anywhere close to 2000 tapes in Frasier's cabinet. Each small section contains 12 tapes. There are 6 sections in each columns and 11 columns are completely full. The 12th column contains 4 sections and Frasier puts the "2000th" tape in the first slot in the 5th section. This means that in total, there are only 841 tapes in the cabinet.

  • After Niles takes a picture of Tom and Frasier, Tom looks at the Polaroid and says that Niles' thumb was in front of the lens and insists he take the picture again.  But as he hands the picture to Niles, you can clearly see it's still grey, having not fully developed yet.
