  • Fan Reviews (1)
  • Frasier hires Ben,an agent with morals, over Bebe when the station begins contract negotiations. Has he made the right decision? Also,Niles' libido is stretched to breaking point as Maris plays sexual hardball when insisting he hire another counsellor.

  • Quotes (8)

    • (Frasier walks into Cafe Nervosa, with a bandage on his head) Frasier: Latte, please. Waitress: Hey, didn't I see your picture in the paper today? There was a big bird, chasing you around a little couch. Frasier: Latte, please. (waitress leaves) Niles: Well, I think you have a real case against the maker of those crane sedatives. Frasier: I just wish they'd named the damned bird after somebody else. Niles: Gregory Peck, perhaps.

    • Bebe: We go way back, the Hammer and I. I know where the bodies are buried. (Looks pensive) Usually, that's just a metaphor...

    • (Bebe wants to be Frasier's agent again) Bebe: Please! I won't be the same Bebe you knew! I'll change! I'll be like Ben... only competent!

    • Frasier: Isn't there a zebra carcass you should be hovering over? Bebe: You want to see a carcass, chum? Look in the mirror, look what you've let that man do to you. Your face is riddled with bird bites, your name's a punchline, and your career is five minutes from over, and he's only been your agent for three days!

    • Frasier: (to Roz) You're entitled to choose whomever you want to repreent you. Someone who's honest or a woman whose ethics would have raised eyebrows in the court of Caligula.

    Notes (1)

    • This episode seems to have been aired out of order. Roz excitedly describes how Bebe earned her a spot on "Clint Webber's show." Clint Webber is not introduced until episode #113 "The Perfect Guy" as a brand new employee of KACL.

    Allusions (3)

    • Ben : You just clean up your language, pal. I walked out on that Mamet play, I can walk out on you. Ben is referring to playwright David Mamet, who is known to use coarse language in his plays. In his most popular work, Glengarry Glen Ross, the f-word is said 138 times!

    • Bebe : Well, well, well, look who's here. It's KACL's Frasier Crane. Frasier : And Rosemary's Bebe. A reference to Rosemary's Baby, the 1968 film about a baby conceived by the devil.

    • Episode Title: The Zoo Story
The episode title is the same as Edward Albee's Zoo Story. However, the two plots bear little similarity.
