  • Episode Description
  • Chandler decides the only way to mend his friendship with Joey is to fly out to Vegas and visit him. Phoebe is determined not to be left out on another adventure, so everyone winds up going. Trouble is in the water, however, when Chandler finds out that Monica had lunch with Richard.

    • Goof: When Chandler is looking for Monica and finds her playing craps, he makes a sad face. After the shot cuts to Monica, the exact same clip of Chandler's sad face is used.

    • Continuity: Chandler says that if he won $5,000 he would join a gym and build up his upper body. But we already know that he and Ross both have gym memberships and can't bring themselves to quit.

    • Trivia: When Joey rings Phoebe to find out his ATM pin number, she reminds him it is 5639. When using the letters that correspond to the numbers, it spells Joey.

    • In the scene where Joey is explaining the many uses of the Roman helmet to Chandler, we can see that Chandler is wearing blue suede shoes, alluding to the song "Blue Suede Shoes", one of Elvis Presley's earliest hits, penned by Carl Perkins. Elvis, of course, was probably the biggest star to ever play Vegas.

    • Ross: You know that teacher that had a baby with her student?

      This is alluding to Mary Kay Letourneau, a teacher who had an affair with one of her 6th grade students and had his baby while in prison. They are now married.

    • Chandler: What was that? Joey: Aw, Entertainment Tonight. Entertainment Tonight is a tabloid news show syndicated by CBS.

    • Phoebe: Monica had lunch with Richard. Joey: Dawson? Richard Dawson is an American actor and game show host known primarily for hosting The Family Feud.

    • Chandler: Love your condoms, my man. Chandler was referring to the famous ad campaign for Trojan condoms, in which a man is dressed in a similar outfit.
