  • Quotes (5)

    • Danny: Wait a second. I know this looks bad. Real bad. Pretty much an open-and-shut case. But look, I've known Joey my entire life. He's my best friend, and I can assure you, Officer, that he's telling the truth. Police Officer: Sir, do you honestly expect me to believe that a grown man would pay cash to a total stranger for a car and then not get a pink slip? Danny: Like I said, it's a open-and-shut case.....

    • Police Officer: I need proof of ownership. Do you have a pink slip? Jesse: Let me take another shot at this. Of course he has a pink slip! What kind of idiot buys a car without a pink slip? Joey, show her the pink slip. (Joey is silent) Show her the pink slip. Joey: She said she'd mail it.

    • Joey: (to police officer when he doesn't have a pink slip for the car) Well, I can describe the little old lady who sold it to me. Danny: Oh, good, there you go, he can describe the little old lady. Go ahead, Joey. Joey: Okay. Well, um.......she was little.......and she was old. And those eyes. I'll never forget those eyes! (pause) There were two of them.

    • Michelle: (about D.J.'s new Firebird) Wow! This is even cooler than what Joey got me for my birthday. Stephanie: Michelle, you got a Slinky. Michelle: I said it was cooler.

    • Michelle: Excuse me, are you really a police officer? Officer: Yes I am. Michelle: Good. Because someone stole my eraser at school.

    Notes (1)

    • Final birthday episode for any of the main characters, although Rebecca, Steve, and Joey were the only ones who didn't have a birthday episode.

    Allusions (2)

    • Grand Gift Auto is a take off on the phrase Grand Theft Auto.

    • Joey mentions how he always wanted to be part of a family like The Brady Bunch, and he wanted to be like Alice. This was an iconic series about a very loving blended family, and it aired for 5 years in the late 1960's and early 1970's. On the show, Alice was the housekeeper in a family with six children, and she was treated as a member of the family. Also, the ending credits for this episode borrow from the end credits that were always used for The Brady Bunch.
